French Lake Cellars: Madison: 2010: Definitive: California Red Wine: 13.5% alcohol: To me, I smell: Plums, Cherries, Blossoms (although this one could just be from the tree outside, either way it smells nice!), nice chalky minerals, a bit of musk, herbal…On the palate: Smooth, luscious, nice tannins and acidity, blended well, sweet on the back palate, perhaps vanilla finish. Dark ruby color with nice legs. :) Yay.
Written on the back of the bottle: “French Lake Cellars brings you the Madison collection of wines. Definitive, Distinct, Dependable, and Daring are all words that would be used to describe Madison. These four characteristics are also great descriptors of the wine in which they will represent the namesake. French Lake Cellars presents DEFINITIVE the first in line of the collection Definitive (having its fixed and final form, providing a solution or final answer) after countless trials and combinations finally a wine that offers a unique wine drinking experience, Blackberry aroma along with ripe cherries greets you first followed by smoky leather and a deep dark chocolate finish DEFINITIVE drinks big and has a long smooth finish. Enjoy!”
